These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Simple Billing (the “Service”), available at simplebillingapp.com. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Simple Billing is software that helps you create invoices, track payments, and manage customers. We may add, change, or remove features over time to improve the Service.

2. Your account

• You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
• You must be at least 18 and able to enter into a binding contract, and use the Service for lawful business purposes.

3. Your data & content

You retain ownership of the business and customer data you enter. You are responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of that data, including the invoices and tax details you generate. You grant us the limited rights needed to host and process your data to provide the Service.

4. Plans, billing & renewals

• The Service offers a free plan and paid plans. Paid plans are billed as a one-time annual payment via Razorpay.
• Paid plans do not auto-renew. When your paid period ends, your account reverts to the free plan unless you renew.
• Prices are shown on our Pricing page and may change; changes do not affect a period you have already paid for.
• Refunds are handled under our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent, or infringing purpose.
• Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the Service or other users' data.
• Resell or misrepresent the Service, or use it to send spam.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or put the Service or other users at risk.

6. Compliance responsibility

The Service helps you produce GST-format and other invoices, but you are responsible for ensuring your invoices, tax rates, and filings comply with the laws that apply to your business. We are a software tool, not a tax, legal, or accounting advisor.

7. Availability

We work to keep the Service available and reliable, but it is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We may perform maintenance or experience downtime.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Simple Billing is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data or profits. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms. On termination, you may export your data before it is removed, subject to any legal retention requirements.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes are subject to the courts of India.
